A WEST Cumbrian family have been left heartbroken after their beloved blue-fronted Amazon parrot escaped over the weekend.
Karl and Helen Langley, whose much loved parrot Oz was last seen in Silloth on Friday, May 5 say they 'just want their baby back'.
The couple also say they are overwhelmed by the support from the community of Silloth.
Helen said: "We are really devastated. The house is so quiet without him.
"Myself and Karl have been out every night after work 'till dark, then up for first light before work searching.
"The girls Madison and Lucy-Jo have spent all their time with friends when not at work or school searching for Oz.
"But we will never give up hope. We are so greatful to the local community who have all came together to get Oz back.
"Especially Amy Whitehead and local councillor Owen Martin who's been searching with his drone.
"A little girl who made a picture of Oz and put it in the spar to a family who printed off missing posters of Oz to put up in local businesses.
"So many people are helping who we have never met before we are overwhelmed and so greatful to each and everyone of them."
Oz escaped Friday, May 5 with the last confirmed sighting in The Pines, Silloth.
If anyone has information they can contact Karl, Helen or Tony Watson's pet shop, Workington.
