Keswick MRT was called out to assist a couple and their dog who were struggling to descend a fell.
The pair had followed a steep path and didn't feel comfortable making their way back down.
A spokesperson said: "A couple and their dog followed the steep path past the white-painted Bishop Rock until they reached a point below Slape Crag where they were unable to climb any further and were really not happy about descending the way they had come up. Very sensibly they called for help.
"A small team was dispatched to short rope them and escort their totally unfazed dog down the steep slopes."
