TWO men have denied charges of attempted assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Workington men Aaron Chatters, 23, of Roper Terrace, Salterbeck, and Mark Trainor, 22, of Eadie Terrace, Harrington, appeared before Carlisle Crown Court on August 9 via video link from HMP Durham.
The incident - which left the alleged victim with a broken nose - happened on July 14, 2023, in Salterbeck, according to the charge.
Both defendants remain in police custody.
A trial has been scheduled for the week commencing October 30, 2023.
