A cricket side from Cumbria was able to complete an unbeaten league and cup double last weekend after a phenomenal season.
Wigton Cricket Club's Midweek XI won all 10 of their matches in the Carlisle & District Midweek League to claim the title.
Not content with just winning the league, the squad headed to Wetheral CC last weekend for a cup finals day.
The finals were contested by Penrith CC Under 19's, Wetheral CC & Lanercost CC.
In the semi-final, Wigton defeated Penrith CC by posting 139 from their innings before bowling Penrith out for just 44.
However, the final against Wetheral CC proved to be a much more tightly-contested affair.
After winning the toss, Wigton opted to bowl and limited the hosts to 107 runs from their 20 overs.
They claimed victory with two balls to spare with key performances from George Johnston (38 runs) and John Reed (34 not out).
Club chairman and Midweek XI captain Elliot Armstrong said: "I'd like to thank Wetheral CC for being excellent hosts and playing their part in what was a truly enthralling final.
"Lastly, I'd like to thank all the players of Wigton Midweek XI for their excellent attitude and form throughout the year, which has contributed to a memorable season."
