THE owners of a Workington town centre shopping square have welcomed the news that Pandora will return to the venue, as they praise the 'positive uptick' of the town.
The town centre is curbing the trend of many others across the country enjoying a increase in demand for shops within Workington.
Global jewellery chain Pandora, will be returning to Workington in the autumn it has been confirmed.
Sovereign Centros, who manage the Washington Square shopping centre have said theu are delighted to welcme back the 'much missed' store, saying the new unit will reopen as an improved Pandora.
A spokesperson for Sovereign Centros, the asset managers of Washington Square said: "We can confirm that Pandora is reopening an improved store in Washington Square.
"Workington town centre continues to be a robust location for retail and Washington Square is particularly enjoying an increase in demand for shops as operators experience a positive uptick in trading.
"We are excited to welcome back Pandora who have been much missed since they closed a relatively short time ago.”
Pandora have previously occupied a unit in the Washington Square Shopping Centre, with their base in the town closing in 2022, after being in the town for six years as part of a fanchise with Kendal jeweller H Hogarth.
The return of the high street giant, will come as another welcome boost for the Workington high street, following the announcement earlier this year that global department store TK Maxx will be opening it's doors to shoppers in the town this autumn.
The chain have said they are 'delighted' to confirm they will be returning to Workington later this year.
A spokesman for Pandora UK said: "We are delighted to confirm that Pandora will be returning to Workington and look forward to opening the doors to the new store this autumn."
