CUMBERLAND council leader Mark Fryer has welcomed news that a global jewellery chain will return to Workington town centre this autumn.
Global jewellery chain Pandora, will be returning to Workington in the autumn it has been confirmed.
The chain have previously occupied a unit in the Washington Square Shopping Centre, with their base in the town closing in 2022, after being in the town for six years as part of a fanchise with Kendal jeweller H Hogarth.
A spokesman for Pandora UK said: "We are delighted to confirm that Pandora will be returning to Workington and look forward to opening the doors to the new store this autumn."
The store will be returning to it's former unit in the town, located between Costa Coffe and Next.
Leader of Cumberland Council, Cllr Mark Fryer welcomed the investment in Workington, he said:“This is great news for Workington town centre and is a welcome addition to the retail offer within the area.
“Cumberland is an ideal location for new and established businesses - we have lots to offer. We support investment in our towns and city.”
