FAMILY and friends of a man recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease have raised £1,400 for charity.
Daughters Kelly Patterson and Alaina Mayne, cousin Sarah Chuthell and friend Lisa Morrison took part in the recent Parkinson's UK Run in Newcastle and also held a raffle at the Maryport Rugby Club.
Tom Patterson, 69, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease last year and his family are still coming to terms with the diagnosis.
Kelly said: "He is doing okay. His medication is working well.
"I know £11,400 is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to research but I would like to thank everyone who helped us raise the money because every little bit must help."
