A GROUP of West Cumbrian pupils enjoyed a 'once in a lifetime' trip to Barcelona, aiming to get a taste of Spanish culture.
Students from St Joseph’s Catholic High School had an unforgettable opportunity to explore Barcelona and get a taste of Spanish culture.
The students had the opportunity to practice their Spanish skills in the streets of the city whilst exploring some of the famous attractions during this action packed trip.
Mr Adams, Head of Year, commented “This trip truly is a once in the lifetime opportunity for the children to put their learning in school into practice whilst having a great time with their friends. The students behaved impeccably and tried their hardest to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture, enjoying everything the trip had to offer."
During the trip the students visited various famous landmarks including the beautiful Sagrada Famillia Cathedral and the famous Montserrat Cable Cars. They also had a brilliant time at the Port Aventura Theme Park and the Barcelona Olympic Swimming Pool.
One student shared that this trip was his first ever time on a plane and how much he enjoyed the theme park. Mr Nevitt, Headteacher, commented, "It was wonderful to see how much students enjoyed this trip and how much they got out of it. Staff said how much student's confidence improved whilst they were there and how much fun they had."
St Joseph's are already planning their next Spanish adventure with students with the next trip planned for July 2024.
