A FLIMBY school is providing some Christmas cheer to rail users in Cumbria this festive season.
Children came up with some wonderful Christmas designs and some were chosen for the Christmas banner.
It brightens up the station alongside the seasonal decorations to wish all rail passengers a Merry Christmas from Flimby Primary School.
Headteacher Tanya Peers said "This has become an annual event with the local community and rail passengers looking out for the school's banner. The children are delighted their drawings are on display to a wider audience.
"Due to our adoption of the station children have already been lucky enough to visit many local attractions for free including Maryport Library, Hills bookshop in Workington and visits are planned to go to The Crafty Workshop on the train.
"Thank you to Community Rail Cumbria and Northern for supporting the development of the station with the school and providing the children with the wonderful opportunities."
Warren Birch, Community Rail Partnership Officer said “It’s always a pleasure to help judge the wonderful artwork created by the pupils of Flimby Primary School, the banner brings a festive cheer to the railway station for all to enjoy.”
