An accomplished Threlkeld artist shared her talents recently with members of an art society.
Keswick Society of Art met at the St Herbert’s Centre in High Hill, with Lyn Evans doing a demonstration of winter landscapes in pastel.
"Lyn is an accomplished artist in the mediums of oil, watercolour and pastel, and her work may be found in local galleries and private homes both here and abroad," said a spokesman.
"She began her demonstration with an explanation of the types of pastels she uses – all stored in their original boxes for easy access, when painting outdoors.
Lyn, who lives in Threlkeld, trained at the Sunderland College of Fine Art, and after living in Scotland for many years moved to the Lake District a few years ago. When not doing her own work, she holds workshops in her studio, or teaches local art groups.
The next meeting of the society will be at 1.30pm on Friday, February 2, when local artist Alex Jacob-Whitworth will be giving a talk and demonstration, "Make your landscapes 'Zing'".
