A MAN has admitted possessing an offensive weapon by having a key lodged between his knuckles.
Daniel Irving, 36, admitted possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Irving had the key lodged between his knuckles, exposing a sharp point, on Washington Street in Workington on October 14. He assaulted the police officer on the same date in Workington.
The case was adjourned to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service.
Irving, of Queen Street, Siddick, Workington, will be sentenced at Workington Magistrates’ Court on February 27.
