DRIVERS in and around Allerdale will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A66, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 northbound and southbound, Brigham to Cockermouth, four-Way traffic signals for Street Lighting survey works.
• A66, from 7pm January 14 to 5am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Crosthwaite Roundabout to Low Briery Interchange, traffic signals for repairs and improvements to existing highway drainage system.
And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:
• A66, from 8pm February 19 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Fitz Roundabout, Ring management for Change to signage, road markings, kerbs and installation of new drain.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
