CUMBRIA Police have acknowledged antisocial behaviour and crime from youths in Workington.
This is affecting the areas of Vulcans Lane and Workington town centre.
A spokesperson said: "A further Dispersal Order will be in place for the area tonight starting at 4pm. Any groups of youths suspected of either behaving or likely to behave in an antisocial manner will be required to disperse and leave the area.
"Officers will be out proactively patrolling the area and taking positive action to deal with any disorder that is identified.
"During the Half Term holidays, there have been large numbers of youths out in the town centre in the late afternoon and evening. The groups of youths have involved on occasions 40+ youths.
"A number of these groups have been behaving in an antisocial manner, causing problems for local residents and resulting in numerous calls to police.
"Breaching the terms of a dispersal order is a criminal offence and will result in further action being taken."
Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Leesa Edwards added "For several nights we have experienced disorder in the area with youths behaving in an unacceptable manner.
"A number of individuals have been identified and arrested for public order offences and breaching the dispersal order. Police will also be taking positive action, reviewing video footage to identify and deal with others who have been involved in disorder."
"We are appealing to parents to make sure they know where their children are and encourage you to ensure they are not putting themselves at risk of becoming involved in any disorder."
