CUMBRIA farmers are being given a helping hand with getting to grips with silage grants, planning and regulations.
H&H Land & Estates, Harrison & Hetherington, and Silostop Agri have teamed up to host a seminar taking place in Ring Four, Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, on Wednesday, March 6 at 7pm.
Chaired by Glyn Lucas, Dairy Sales Manager for Harrison & Hetherington, Jonathan Hird, Associate and Chartered Surveyor at H&H Land & Estates, will give a short presentation on grants and planning concerns, and Jeremy Perkins from Silostop Agri, will discuss Silage best practices and benefits and the ingredients needed to bring you existing silages clamp operation up to date with the SSAFO Regulations.
Jonathan Hird said of the event: “We are very pleased to be able to offer this silage focussed evening in conjunction with partners Silostop Agri, who are the global leader in all things silage, from silage clamps to HOB silage films and covers.”
“Many farmers are making generational investments in terms of farm improvements, and if they are starting from scratch, they need to understand the best practice for modern silage in terms of infrastructure, making and storing silage.”
