POLICE in the Allerdale area confiscated an E Scooter from a youth.
The young person had been seen using the vehicle illegally and was dealt with by the authorities.
A spokesperson said: "This E-Scooter was taken off a youth yesterday after they were sighted riding it in the middle of the road, with no insurance or licence and, with no safety equipment.
"We will continue to take these scooters off individuals who proceed to ride them illegally.
"Did you know you need a valid driver's licence and insurance? Riding one without will see it being seized from you under Section 165a of the Road Traffic Act, and you will be dealt with for offences which will land you points and fines.
"We are seeing an increase in parents purchasing E-Scooters for their children, please do your research before you purchase them."
