DRIVERS in and around Allerdale will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week: A66, from 7pm March 3 to 5am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Keswick to Cockermouth, traffic signals for Bollard works.
A66, from 7pm January 14 to 5am March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Crosthwaite Roundabout to Low Briery Interchange, traffic signals for repairs and improvements to existing highway drainage system.
And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks: A66, from 8pm March 7 to 5am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Bassenthwaite Lake, Lane closures and carriageway closure for carriageway Patching, Technology maintenance, removal of dangerous trees.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
