Bluebird K7 is making the journey back to Coniston today after 23 years.
After years of negotiation, the hydroplane will return to be to be displayed in the Ruskin Museum having been restored by Bill Smith and his team of volunteers in Newcastle.
It is expected to leave North Shields between 11am and noon and arrive at Coniston roughly between 3.30pm and 4pm.
Delays are to expected on these roads:
A1058, joining the A167M to A69
A69 to M6 at Junction 43
Leaving M6 at Junction 36
A590 to Greenodd
A5092 to Lowick Green
A5084 to Torver
A593 to Coniston
