A YOUNG girl from Workington who is obsessed with Costa coffee was left delighted after receiving a big bag of goodies from the popular café chain.... following a video uploaded to social media by her mum.
Oona Singleton, 3, from Westfield found her obsession for Costa coffee when she started at nursery and her great grandma would take her for a 'babyccino' every day after nursery.
The youngster is so well known at her local Costa that she is recognised by all of the staff when she goes in the store.
After seeing how much Oona loved the brand, her mum Olivia Bell decided she would create the three-year-old her own Costa Coffee stand to play with.
Speaking to the Times & Star, Olivia said: “I had an old worn toy that was going to go in the bin so I decided to upcycle it into a Costa stall and make some things to go with it, like an apron.”
After posting a video of the process to create Oona’s bespoke toy, the video was spotted by the team who run the socials for Costa Coffee. They were so impressed with the creation they decided to send both Oona and Olivia a box of goodies.
Olivia and Oona then created a hilarious video of Oona unboxing the goodies which included keyrings, aprons, t-shirts and different kinds of cups... all complete with the chain's branding.
Oona was left delighted, saying at the end of the video: "Thank you Costa, very much. I love you.”
Olivia said: “When I told her that costa had messaged us about sending her gifts she was so excited and told everyone at school. When the box arrived I told her that Costa had sent us some surprises so she had no idea what was in the box.
“Everyone has been loving the video of her... people have been messaging me about how funny it is.”
In a handwritten note the Costa Social Team said: “We absolutely love the Costa store you created for your daughter. A few items to add to her store and a few bits for you."
