A MAN has appeared in court accused of rape.
Robert Cox, 47 appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court to face three charges of rape and a sexual assault charge.
The charges of rape are alleged to have taken place between 2007 and 2015 in Workington. The sexual assault is alleged to have taken place in 2017 in Workington.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on June 10.
Cox, of South View Road, Distington, was granted unconditional bail.
