DRIVERS in and around Allerdale will have a National Highways road closure to watch out for this week.
And it is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between ten minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is due to start over the next two weeks: the A595, from 8am May 17 to 8pm May 19, with moderate delays of 10 to 30 minutes and the A66 with possible congestion due to the Keswick Mountain Festival.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
