DRIVERS in and around Allerdale will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than ten minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A66, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Embleton, traffic signals for SU works (ENW - NETWORK PLUS).

• A66, from 8pm May 22 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Ellerbeck Brow to River Cocker, traffic signals for electrical works.

• A66, from 8pm May 23 to 5.59am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Braithwaite to Crosthwaite, traffic signals for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
