A MAN has been arrested after a number of drugs were seized in a Workington park - following a tip off to police by some children who had concerns about a 'suspicious looking' male and approached officers.
Allerdale Police said they arrested the man after a stop and search was conducted in the park, with a number of drugs seized from the suspect on May 27.
In a statement on social media, Allerdale Police said: "Some children in a Workington park this evening approached officers who raised concerns about a suspicious looking male.
"A stop search was conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a number of drugs were seized.
"The male was arrested and remains in police custody."
