Animal-lovers in Cumbria have raised more than £3,000 through a charity walk and dog show for Eden Animal Rescue.
A dog walk around Derwentwater, completed by Sarah Harrison-Wyatt, Vicki Broughton and Alex Bowness, gathered £1,215.25, with more funds still coming in.
The trio set off from Keswick on May 25, aiming to raise money for a new kennel block for the charity.
On May 26, a dog show at Greystoke Castle raised more than £2,000 towards the charity’s general running costs of taking care of dogs, cats and other animals.
Another £87 was collected from a stall dedicated to the Kennel Fund.
Chair of Eden Animal Rescue, Chris Cheetham said: “We would like to thank everyone involved in our fundraising weekend.
"It has been a great achievement to raise so much to ensure we can continue to care for the animals and improve our facilities at our centre.
“We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped on both Saturday and Sunday at the dog show, without their help, the event couldn't have taken place.
“And big thank you goes to Sarah, Vicki and Alex and their 11 mile sponsored walk which will make a great difference to our fundraising for the Kennel Fund.”
Eden Animal Rescue needs £500,000 to build a new kennel block at its centre at Moorlands Head Farm in Newbiggin, near Temple Sowerby.
Sponsorship towards the dog walk can still be made online via the Sarah Harrison Derwentwater Kennel Fundraiser Just Giving page.
