A general manager at a unique Michelin Star restaurant in the northern Lake District has scooped two national accolades.
Beth Bond of The Cottage in the Wood restaurant excelled in this year's 2024 Boutique Hotelier Power List.
She featured in the Young Trailblazers category and landed a high-profile spot among the UK’s Top 100 Sommeliers.
Now in its eighth year, the Boutique Hotelier Power List shines a spotlight on the standout talents in the hospitality sector.
50 individuals are celebrated across five categories: Industry Titans, Business Leaders, Marketing Marvels, Young Trailblazers and Unsung Heroes.
Securing a place in the top 50 is a formidable achievement and Ms Bond stands shoulder-to-shoulder with industry heavyweights, such as Tom Ross, CEO of the Pig Hotels, and James and Tamara Lohan, founders of Mr & Mrs Smith.
Ms Bond said: "What a surprise.
"We are a small, dedicated team that supports each other and loves what we do.
"To be recognised in two awards for doing just that is amazing.
"But it really is the case that everything we achieve is a collective effort, every member of the team plays a significant part in making Cottage in the Wood the place it is, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their dedication and support."
Additionally, she received the 54th position in this year’s UK Top 100 Sommeliers at an awards ceremony at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel on June 10, celebrating professionals who epitomise service excellence in wine.
