CROWDS gathered at a fan zone in Workington to watch England in their first knock out stage of the 2024 Euros.
Many attended the Fibrus Community Stadium in Workington following the Workington Town RLFC match on Sunday, June 30 to watch a nail-biting performance from England, which saw them secure their place in the quarter finals of the major competition.
Nails were bitten, teeth gritted and - in the dying minutes - pints thrown, as the Three Lions pulled off a gripping finish with Jude Bellingham levelling the score with a bicycle kick in the final minute of extra- time.
The crowds were warmed up with a brilliant performance from The Johnny Morton Show, which lit up the crowd in the Northern Competitions fan zone.
The fan zone was filled with songs of 'It's Coming Home' and 'Please Don't Take Me Home' with young and old enjoying (and at some points not so much enjoying) England's performance in what was a great atmosphere for all.
