A HORSE and cart, tank and even an ice-cream van were all on show as one West Cumbrian school celebrated their leavers in style with the annual prom.
Year 11 students from Workington Academy have celebrated the end of their school journey by celebrating at their annual prom.
The event, held at Whitehaven Golf Club, saw 140 students gather together in all their finery to dance the night away and say a formal ‘goodbye’ to their friends and teachers.
Students arrived at the golf club with their families in an array of vehicles from a tank, a horse and cart and even an ice-cream van to take pictures before the event.
Tina Thompson, Director of Learning at Workington Academy said: “It was an absolute joy to celebrate such an amazing year group.
"They have all worked so incredibly hard during their GCSEs and this is a wonderful way to mark the end of their school life.
"All of the students looked fabulous and had a brilliant night together. We are so very sad to see this year group go, but wish them all the very best for the future."
