PLANS have been submitted for the extension of a west Cumbrian caravan park, with the hope of adding an extra 54 caravans to the site.
The plans submitted to Cumberland council on Tuesday, July 16 propose the change of use of land to form holiday park extension to install 54 caravans with associated landscaping and drainage, at the Violet Lodge Caravan Site in Cockermouth.
Describing the site, Violet Lodge Caravan Site said on their website: "Violet Bank is a quiet, peaceful park located just outside of Cockermouth in Cumbria. Pets are welcomed on site and there are several local attractions including walks, horse riding, fishing and golf.
"A major benefit of our Lake District Caravan Park is that there are no age limits set on the caravans. This allows you to make the most of the holiday home you love while enjoying the stunning surrounding countryside in Cumbria."
The plans will now go through a consultation process with Cumberland council.
