Sealy, a Cumbrian-based mattress brand, is set to unveil a new range at the NBF Bed Show next month.

The Aspatria business is celebrating its 50th anniversary of joining the National Bed Federation (NBF), which coincides with its own 50th birthday.

Over the past three years, the Sealy manufacturing plant has seen millions of pounds of investment, with the installation of three new spring machines at the Cumbria plant and the reinstatement of five more.

The workforce has been re-skilled and the company completely 're-invented', leading to a launch of a new product range.

Mark Tuley, CCO of Sealy UK, said: "It’s great to see how far we’ve come, with the NBF at our side, since we were established in September 1974.

"Through its strictly audited Code of Practice, there’s no doubt that the NBF plays a key role in maintaining and improving the reputation and standing of its members."

Nichola Pass, marketing director at Sealy UK, said: "A key date in our calendar is The Bed Show, organised by the NBF, where exhibiting bed manufacturers must be a member of the NBF - we regularly exhibit there and schedule our product launches to be revealed at the show.

"For the first time this year, we will only be displaying mattresses featuring our Sealy posturepedic coil technology on our stand, and we’re excited to be launching a special 50th anniversary range comprising three new mattress designs."

The Bed Show will take place on September 24 and 25 in Telford.
