A hospice has announced the opening of its new retail shop.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria will celebrate the milestone with a grand opening tomorrow, August 23, at 10.30am.
The shop, on Campbell-Savours Way, Workington, has been in operation for a week and sells donated goods such as clothes, toys, books, and homeware.
The proceeds will help the charity continue to provide palliative and end-of-life care in West Cumbria.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Workington's Mayor, Councillor Neil Schofield, and MP Josh McAllister.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official launch.
Judith Jarman, retail manager for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said: "We are thrilled to open our new retail shop and welcome the community to join us in celebrating this exciting occasion.
"The support we have received has been overwhelming, and I would like to thank everyone in the community who has been out to support us this week."
The charity has invited the community to join the event, which will have live music from Ged Hagan and a tombola with prizes for shoppers.
The charity will also provide information about its work in the community.
