DRIVERS in and around Allerdale will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
One of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A66, from 8pm August 30 to 11pm September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Bass Lake dual carriageway, Lane two closure and contraflow for Manhole repairs.
• A66, from 8pm September 8 to 6am October 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Threlkeld to Keswick, traffic signals for Resurfacing A66 Greta (Threlkeld) Bridge Deck.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
