AN INTERIM driving ban has been given to a Maryport woman who was caught drug driving in the Currock area of Carlisle.

Michaela Ogilvie, 33, from Queen Street, Maryport, committed two offences on April 30, when police caught her driving an Audi A3 in Currock Road, Currock, while over the limit for both cannabis and a cocaine breakdown product.

She pleaded guilty to both charges.

Magistrates at the city’s Rickergate court adjourned sentence so that a background report can be prepared. She will be sentenced on September 16.

On that day, the length of the ban will be decided as part of the sentence. The defendant was granted unconditional bail until that day.
