A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash near a West Cumbrian village.
Allerdale Police were called to a collision on the A595 at Parton, yesterday morning September 4.
Officers dealt with the crash before arresting a female driver in one of the vehicles on suspicion of drink driving after she allegedly blew 66 (micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath) in a roadside breath test.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.
Cumbria Police are now carrying out an investigation.
In a statement on social media, Allerdale police said: “Yesterday morning, PC 2758 went a bit off patch and dealt with an RTC on the A595, Parton.
“There is no place on the roads for drivers who break the law.”
