Mountain rescuers were participating in a training exercise to better understand a popular area of the Lake District.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were led by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team at Honister Slate Mine.
A spokesperson from Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team said: "It was a training evening to allow the team to assess the area, in case they get called to support a rescue there in the future.
"It is great to train with other teams and learn more about our neighbouring teams' areas, for any future occasions the team are needed to support other teams.
"The Lakes teams regularly support each other on rescues and they are all part of Lake District Search And Mountain Rescue Association working together makes all the teams stronger."
They thanked Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and Honister Slate Mine for supporting the training evening.
