The generosity of a Cumbrian charity means a Cockermouth doctors surgery can now expand it's services.
The nursing team at Castlegate and Derwent Surgery has received a donation of Doppler equipment which can help them provide better care for their patients.
The Cockermouth Community Hospital League of Friends presented the team with an automated machine and two handheld machines.
As such, they are now able to offer a more comprehensive service to measure Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) otherwise known as Dopplers.
Measuring blood pressures in this way leads to more effective management of conditions such as leg ulcers which in turn reduces pain, healing time and risk of infection but also increasing mobility and skin health.
