A LONG running body building show will return to Workington for the 46th year this weekend, with the winner earning a ticket to the finals in Rome.

Organised by Ted Clifton and Marti Brown, the IBFA Mr and Miss Cumbria will take place this Sunday, September 22 at the Carnegie Theatre, Workington starting at 1pm.

Speaking about the event, well-known Workington gym owner and bodybuilder, Ted Clifton said: "It's the 46th year that we have put it on, it's one of the longest running body building shows in England.

"It's fantastic for bodybuilding in Cumbria, it's a great atmosphere. There are bodybuilders from all over the country entering."

There are already 30 competitors registered to take part in the event. Anybody who would like to enter can enter on the day of the show from 11am.

The winners will be invited to the finals in Rome in November of this year.
