ALLERDALE's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A66, from 8pm September 8 to 6am October 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Threlkeld to Keswick, traffic signals for Resurfacing A66 Greta (Threlkeld) Bridge Deck.
And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:
• A66, from 9am September 30 to 4pm October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 both directions A66 Dubwath, junction to A66 Lamplugh Rbt - two-way signals for signs - erection on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
