Workington is set to be illuminated by a new Cumberland Council Light District event this winter.
The Hall Park Light Works will take place on November 30 and December 1, transforming the area into a "glittering wonderland" after dark.
The event, which is free to attend, will include lights, projections, music, fire, and food and drink.
It will be held from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on both nights.
Ellie Jones, event officer at Cumberland Council, said: "Following our successful Light District events in Carlisle and St Bees, we are now delighted to extend the programme to Workington.
"This is a free event for all the family to enjoy.
"No matter what age you are, you’ll have a great time.
"So join us and experience the magic of winter in Workington in a whole new light."
The event is presented in partnership with the West Coast Creative People & Places programme, Everyone Here.
Sam Hunt, co-director of Everyone Here, said: "Hall Park Light Works is the product of a series of incredible collaborations.
"We can’t wait to welcome you to this familiar place transformed into somewhere extraordinary."
Artists Ronan Devlin and Hannah Fox are tasked with bringing the event to life.
Ms Fox said: "This festival is slap bang in the town and is really accessible and central to the Workington winter celebrations and I am excited to be a part of such an important occasion in the Workington calendar."
Mr Devlin said: "Expect Workington Hall cloaked in light, colour and sound, riding a mystic unicorn."
The new Light District event is part of a wider winter programme of activities taking place in and around Workington throughout November 2024.
