Cockermouth and Silloth care homes bought by Curo Care Group

The purchase has allowed CCG to expand its provision across the north of England, with the backing of a loan from Triodos Bank UK. 

One of the homes is Hames Hall, a 25-bed care home offering palliative, residential and respite care set on the outskirts of Cockermouth.

The other is the 18-bed Chichester Hall, which is close to Silloth and offers the same specialisms, as well as dementia care.

Both have a CQC (Care Quality Commission) rating of Good. 

As with all homes owned by Curo, Hames Hall and Chichester Hall will be managed as individual, independent homes with strong links to their local communities.

Curo managing director, Mike Kneafsey, was raised in one of the homes now owned by the company and continues to manage the home together with his wife Beverley.
