A Lake District creamery has won a champion trophy at the Global Cheese Awards.
First Milk's Lake District Creamery, in Aspatria, received the Champion UK Cheese trophy with its extra mature cheddar.
The creamery beat seven other class winners for English, Scottish, Irish, and Welsh cheeses of any variety, as well as having the best cheddar.
The creamery also won nine class awards, across its range of cheddars, comprising two gold, two silver, and five bronze.
First Milk's customer quality manager, Jack Eade, received the trophies from Frome and Agricultural Cheese Show president, Michael Rogers, at last week's event.
Mr Eade said: "First Milk has an impressive track record at the major cheese shows, and I’m delighted we’ve shown this again at this well-respected event.
"To achieve awards across our entire range clearly indicates our commitment to manufacture cheese to the highest standards.
"Congratulations to everyone involved, including our farmer members who provide us with the highest quality milk from which to build."
First Milk’s creamery in Haverfordwest secured a second trophy for the co-operative with its double Gloucester winning Champion Territorial Cheese and brought the total medal haul to 24.
