A 38-YEAR-old man was found dead in his home in Cockermouth by police after concerns had been raised for his welfare, the opening of an inquest has heard.
Andrew Christopher Sisson was found unresponsive in his property at Holme Court on July 8, 2024.
A paramedic pronounced Mr Sisson dead at 2.01pm, and he was identified by PC Greaves of Cumbria Police.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Mr Sisson, and a cause of death was offered to area coroner for Cumbria, Kirsty Gomersal, of the toxic effects of bromazolam and cocaine.
Mr Sisson was single, and not working at the time of his death.
Ms Gomersal adjourned the inquest until a provisional conclusion date of November 5, 2024.
