A pottery shop is launching a new Christmas collection made by adults with learning disabilities.
West House Pottery, a social enterprise in Cumbria, has created a new ceramic collection featuring seven different items, including mugs, bowls, plant pots, and plates.
The collection will be available for purchase from November 7 online.
The new range is made from stoneware and crafted using hand-building and press moulding techniques.
Each item in the collection is dip-glazed in a deep blue colour and hand-imprinted with stars around the rim, designed to reflect the dark, starry skies of Cumbria.
The pieces are also stamped with the initials of the potter who made them.
The collection is designed to be festive and suitable for any table setting.
The items are priced between £9 and £23 and will be available for purchase on the West House PotteryBy purchasing an item from the new collection, customers will be supporting a not-for-profit initiative.
The money spent on the collection will go towards helping these individuals build their creative skills, grow in confidence, and lead more independent lives.
The collection was designed and created by the adults with learning disabilities that the pottery supports.
The potters were involved in every stage of creating the collection, from the initial idea to the finished product.
The items are versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes, making them a worthwhile purchase.
They can be bought as gifts or to be used at home.
