A folk duo is set to perform in Cumbria as part of a UK tour.
Christina Alden and Alex Patterson are set to play at the Kirkgate Arts Centre, Cockermouth, on November 9, as they preview new songs ahead of an album release in 2025.
The new album will include their latest single, Safe Travels, a self-written song exploring themes of love, loss, and the desire for safe journeys.
The song, which has attracted attention from BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6, and RTÉ Radio 1, was praised by Tom Robinson for its 'strong contemporary songwriting'.
The duo's winter tour comes after a busy summer filled with festival performances.
They have also spent time writing and recording new material, including Shallow Water, which delves into the local winter tradition of ice skating on the fens, and White Mountain Hare, inspired by the seasonal coat-changing highland hare, highlighting the impact of climate change.
The duo will also perform a new track, Winter Song, described as a love letter to the changing seasons.
Christina and Alex will be accompanied by their well-known hand-printed merchandise, including albums, t-shirts, and songbooks.
They will also be performing in other locations across the UK until December.
Tickets for the Cockermouth show are available on their website.
