Carlisle College is inviting stakeholders to a summit to discuss aligning its curriculum with workplace needs.

The Round Table Skills Summit, taking place on October 25, aims to bring together course tutors, students, and employers to explore how the college can better meet the region's skills demands.

The event, held at The Halston Hotel from 9.30am to 12.00pm, offers an opportunity for guests to engage directly with Carlisle College’s Principal, Sarah McGrath, alongside course tutors.

Their input will shape the college’s curriculum to better prepare students with the skills required to succeed in a competitive market.

The curriculum areas up for discussion include business and computing, sport and public services, construction and technical services, engineering, science and motor vehicle, arts, hospitality, travel and tourism, hair and beauty, early years, health and social care, teaching assistants, and supported learning.

The college is inviting a wide range of participants, including small businesses, community initiatives, educational institutions, and civic partners, to join the conversation.

This free event aims to strengthen the link between education and industry needs, but places are limited.
