A DREAM has come true as owner Karen Bailey officially opened the doors to her new bridal and prom wear studio after two years in the making.
Located in the former Eastons newsagents on Wigton’s High Street, Karen, with help from her husband Tony, has been converting three floors into a go-to destination for brides and prom-goers over the past nine months.
Celebrating with a grand opening on October 19, Grace Bridal Studio is already booked up for the coming weeks.
Bringing over eight years of experience in bridal consultancy, Karen Bailey is no stranger to helping create that special day.
“You can imagine this was always a dream," she said. "But, to set up a bridal suite, it’s not a two-minute job – it’s taken me start to finish about two years.
"My dresses are different styles, different silhouettes, there is something here for everyone.
"A lot of the girls I’ve seen at the weekend said they’ve not seen dresses like it anywhere else in Cumbria – so that’s great feedback so far.
“We look to provide a really personalised service from when you walk in to make sure that special day is amazing and the bride feels beautiful on that day," she said.
The ground floor features a selection of massive ball gowns and 'exquisite statement dresses', with the first floor lending itself to the more 'simple and classic styles'.
The second floor is home to the Grace Prom Royalty Suite, which features the UK's leading To the Nines Prom & Evening wear line, which has been spotted adorned by celebs on the red carpet.
Karen also has her own private label for wedding dresses, Juliet Grace, which you can't buy anywhere else.
For helping make her dream a reality, Karen thanked her husband Tony for all his help.
“My husband Tony has worked tirelessly and given me my dream. He’s been working every evening and every weekend after work and I couldn’t have done it without him and of course, all my family and friends.
"A special thank you to the wonderful Wigton community and local businesses who have made me feel so welcome. I am truly grateful for your support," she said.
