A guest house in Bowness-on-Windermere went under the hammer at public auction earlier this week.
Lake View Guest House, on Belsfield Terrace, was sold at Auction House Cumbria’s latest event which was held at the Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.
Located in the heart of the popular tourist destination, it is ‘perfectly’ positioned within a short distance of many bars, restaurants, shops and attractions, including Windermere.
When the event started at noon on Thursday October 24, the hotel appeared with a guide price of £425,000.
The estate agent said this five-bedroom property offers huge potential for a thriving business.
The living accommodation is stretched out over four floors, including four en-suite letting bedrooms as well as owner's living accommodation.
The ground floor includes a guest dining room, commercial kitchen, a rear hallway with stairs to the first and lower ground floors and a WC.
There are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the first floor, plus a further two en-suite bedrooms on the second floor.
Owner's accommodation, complete with a living area, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room, can be found on the lower ground floor.
Outside, there is a rear yard.
The property sold for £435,000.
