The largest model railway exhibition in Cumberland is returning to Workington this weekend.

The event is being held at the Energus building, Blackwood Road, Lillyhall Estate, Workington, with free parking and refreshments.

With 17 layouts expected, the exhibition will feature traders selling tools and parts for modellers.

Among the traders are C&M Models and CSP Models, both from Carlisle, and Furness Models, which will have a wide selection of second-hand models.

Local groups, including the Cumbrian Railways Association and Workington Transport Heritage Trust, will also have stands.

For younger visitors, there will be opportunities to operate Thomas the Tank and Underground Ernie.

The exhibition will also feature a simulation area and a Scalefour Cumberland room for those interested in learning more about modelling.

Organised by Solrail, the exhibition will be open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, November 16 and 10am until 4pm on Sunday, November 17.

Admission is £7 for adults, with accompanied children free.
