Tickets are now available for the upcoming Taste Cumbria Comedy Night.

The event is part of the Taste Cumbria Christmas festival, which will be held in Cockermouth on December 7 and 8.

It's scheduled to take place at Cockermouth Cricket Club on Gote Road from 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £18 each.

The evening will see a host of comedians take to the stage, with the line-up including MC Mark Olver, Dan Tiernan, Percy Savage, and Matt Bragg.

MC Mark Olver can be seen warming up the audience on several television shows.

He is an award-winning comedian who once dislocated his knee and broke his ankle during a performance but continued his act from the floor until paramedics arrived.

Dan Tiernan has been named British Comedian of the Year and has also bagged the BBC New Comedy Award.

Kendal-based comedian, Percy Savage, was a semi-finalist in the 2021 'So You Think You're Funny' competition with his first ever gig.

The night will close with Matt Bragg, fresh from supporting Ricky Gervais on tour, who describes his comedy as 'classic observational stand up, delivered with effortless style.'

Cumberland Council organises the Taste Cumbria events.

"There will be loads of producers’ stalls and expert demonstrations on Main Street and Market Place, and we are going all out on the festive theme, with a visit from Santa Claus, some seasonal street theatre and even a snow globe, alongside some excellent live music.

"The Taste Cumbria food festivals are free to attend though we always like to include some extra ticketed events too.

"Our Michelin-starred Supper Club with The Cottage in the Wood and Low Hal the Lakes has already sold out, and tickets for our Taste Cumbria Comedy Nights always go fast so please book now."
