AN arrest has been made after police carried out enquiries into a reported shoplifting from a charity shop in Workington town centre.
Allerdale police officers were on foot patrol in Workington town centre yesterday, November 28 when they were made aware of a reported shoplifting at a local charity shop.
Following the report enquiries were conducted and a person was arrested and charged with the offence.
In a statement on social media, Allerdale police said: "Allerdale NPT have been out and about on foot patrol in Workington town centre today. During their foot patrol they were made aware of a shoplifting from a local charity shop.
"Enquiries were conducted and the person responsible was quickly arrested and charged with the offence."
