Prime Minister Boris Johnson will address the nation from Downing Street this afternoon
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to host a live Coronavirus press conference from Downing Street this afternoon.
Mr Johnson is expected to begin the briefing at 5pm, he will update the nation on the latest developments in the pandemic.
The Coronavirus briefing will also feature England's chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty and UK chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance.
The briefing follows news this morning that another new strain of Covid-19, believed to have originated in Brazil, may have entered the UK.
