A hat-trick from Callum Phillips aided Whitehaven to a hard-fought win over West Wales Raiders.
Played with an 11am kick off, Haven handled the early start but found the second half tough going against a battling Welsh side, before running out 30-16 winners.
Haven were off to a good start when Jake Moore stretched out to score the opener, but couldn't add the extras.
But their hosts struck right back at them with Robert Tuliatu diving over and Tyler Hunt converting to take the lead.
However, it didn't last long as Haven edged in front with the first of Callum Phillips' tries, with skipper Marc Shackley following him over the whitewash shortly after and Moore converting both.
Phillips then added a second and third before the break, with Moore converting the latter to give the visitors a 26-6 lead at the break.
But the second half was a different story as West Wales put the pressure back on and Ryan Shallish found a gap in the Haven defence to touch down, with Hunt converting.
And the Raiders scored again when Mike Connor pounced on a loose ball but this time the conversion was not added.
But the final word went to Haven as they sealed the win with a Chris Taylor touchdown to make it 30-16 at the final whistle.
